Press release
In the late afternoon of Tuesday, June 27th, a team of COGEMA divers sailed out at the end of the La Hague discharge pipe. The operation, slated for safety considerations, was aimed to check that the installations installed by Greenpeace in the absence of any request for authorization had not damaged the pipe.

During the operations, the dingy carrying the divers inadvertently cut the power supply cable of the Greenpeace camera placed under the ocean surface, the presence of which was not indicated and could not be detected by the crew.

COGEMA regrets this incident, especially since it could have jeopardized the lives of its divers.
