At the UP2 plant, shearing of fuel elements from a batch of EDF 1300 MWe fuel continued in the R1 head-end facility. A total of 804 metric tons of uranium have been sheared to date this year.

At the R7 vitrification facility, lines A and C are undergoing maintenance; line B is on stand-by. 8 canisters of glass were produced this week. A total of 218 canisters of glass have been produced to date this year.

At the UP3 plant, shearing of fuel elements from HAMAOKA* continued in the T1 head-end facility. A total of 657 metric tons of uranium have been sheared to date this year.

At the T7 vitrification facility, only line A is in operation. 11 canisters of glass were produced this week. A total of 356 canisters of glass have been produced to date this year.


Work in the Moulinets Cove

Work continues on modifications to the discharge pipe in the tidal basin:

  • radiological monitoring of sediments has revealed no anomalies, although there are fluctuations close to the old discharge pipe;
  • excavation of the third section continues using the mechanical shovel installed on the platform;
  • excavation of the fourth (and last) section at the nose of the incline was conducted using another mechanical shovel during the very low tides that occurred at the beginning of the week.
