At the UP2 plant, shearing of fuel elements from a batch of EDF 1300 MWe fuel continued in the R1 head-end facility. A total of 750 metric tons of uranium have been sheared to date this year.

At the R7 vitrification facility, line A is in operation; lines B and C are on stand-by. 7 canisters of glass were produced this week. A total of 199 canisters of glass have been produced to date this year.

At the UP3 plant, shearing of fuel elements from OHI-MIHAMA* continued in the T1 head-end facility. A total of 629 metric tons of uranium have been sheared to date this year.

At the T7 vitrification facility, lines A and C are in operation; line B is on stand-by. 12 canisters of glass were produced this week. A total of 329 canisters of glass have been produced to date this year.

Work in the Moulinets Cove

Work continues on modifications to the discharge pipe in the tidal basin:

  • radiological monitoring of sediments has revealed no anomalies, although there are fluctuations close to the old discharge pipe;
  • underwater excavation of the second section continued;
  • a new support seat was installed.
