At the UP2 plant, shearing of fuel elements from a batch of EDF 1300 MWe fuel continued in the R1 head-end facility. A total of 699 metric tons of uranium have been sheared to date this year.

At the R7 vitrification facility, line A is in operation; lines B and C are on stand-by. 3 canisters of glass were produced this week. A total of 179 canisters of glass have been produced to date this year.

At the UP3 plant, shearing of fuel elements from STADE* ended in the T1 head-end facility. Shearing of fuel elements from OBRIGHEIM** began. A total of 596 metric tons of uranium have been sheared to date this year.

At the T7 vitrification facility, line A is in operation; lines B and C are on stand-by. 4 canisters of glass were produced this week, bringing the total to 296 canisters of glass produced to date this year.


Work in the Moulinets Cove

Work continues on modifications to the discharge pipe in the tidal basin:

- radiological monitoring of sediments has revealed no anomalies, although there are fluctuations close to the old discharge pipe;
- underwater excavation to lower the position of the discharge pipe continued, particularly on anchoring the new support structure.
