At the UP2 plant, shearing of fuel elements from a batch of EDF 1300 MWe fuel continued in the R1 head-end facility. A total of 678 metric tons of uranium have been sheared to date this year.

At the R7 vitrification facility, lines A, B and C are on stand-by. A total of 176 canisters of glass have been produced to date this year.

At the UP3 plant, shearing of fuel elements from STADE* continued in the T1 head-end facility. A total of 582 metric tons of uranium have been sheared to date this year.

At the T7 vitrification facility, lines A and B are in operation. 6 canisters of glass were produced this week, bringing the total to 292 canisters of glass produced to date this year.


Work in the Moulinets Cove

Work continues on modifications to the discharge pipe in the tidal basin:

  • radiological monitoring of sediments has revealed no anomalies, although there are fluctuations close to the old discharge pipe;
  • leak tests to verify the integrity of the discharge pipe bypass were completed;
  • underwater excavation to lower the position of the discharge pipe began.
