One cask of spent fuel from the Swiss nuclear power plant of Leibstadt arrived at the Valognes railway terminal serving COGEMA La Hague on November 24th, 2004, at 11:26 pm.
The fuel elements will be stored at the COGEMA La Hague pools for cooling, then reprocessed to recover valuable materials and condition the final waste for return to Switzerland for disposal.
