Appointment of a risk and insurance assessment director

Guy LAMAND has been appointed Risk and Insurance Assessment Director in the COGEMA Group Finance Department.
This new function reflects COGEMA's desire to improve risk assessment and control insurance costs while developing a corporate policy in this area.

Guy LAMAND, 53, has a master's degree in law and is a graduate of the Institut d'Etudes Judiciaires. He began his career as a legal auditor in the court at Lille. He specialized in insurance management as of 1972 and then in risk management while working for the chemicals group SNPE. In 1988 he joined FRAMATOME, where he was director of Risk Control, with responsibility for risk identification, prevention and financing.

Founder and president of the Association pour le Management des Risques et des Assurances de l'Entreprise (AMRAE), Guy LAMAND has served as president of the IFRIMA (International Federation of Risk and Insurance Management Associations) and vice president of the FERMA (Fédération Européenne de Risk Management).

A lecturer at various institutions of higher learning, he is also the author of an AFNOR publication, "La Maîtrise des Risques dans les Contrats de Vente" (Risk Control in Sales Contracts). A former president of the Commission Economique et Industrielle du Groupement Intersyndical de l'Industrie Nucléaire, Guy LAMAND has also been a member of the Interministerial Committee for EURATOM.
