News brief

According to the recent 2008 Universum student survey, future engineering graduates put AREVA in 7th place when asked to name the company they would most like to join.

A total of 14,079 students from 104 engineering and business schools in France were polled and the result confirms the growing attractiveness of the AREVA group. In 2005, AREVA was absent from the engineering students' ranking altogether. The group shot in at 14th place in 2006 and is now ranked 7th out of the 130 companies the students were asked to choose from. According to Abdou Ziat, manager of Universum France, this is the "most spectacular rise".

AREVA also moved up three places in the list of companies preferred by students from France's top 10 engineering schools(*): the group is now ranked #2.

According to Universum, future graduates use four criteria to select their employers: working environment and corporate culture, job characteristics, notoriety and image, remuneration and promotion prospects.
