COGEMA LOGISTICS signs a contract of 40 million Euros with German customers

COGEMA LOGISTICS, part of the AREVA group, announced that the German nuclear utility E.ON Kernkraft has signed an order for 25 spent fuel transport/storage casks. This 40 million Euro contract includes the delivery of TN 24 E metal casks and integrated services. Deliveries will start in 2006.
The TN 24 E has been designed to safely and efficiently store 21 PWR spent fuel assemblies.

COGEMA LOGISTICS has been developing dual purpose casks since the early eighties and its transport/storage cask family has grown steadily to suit interim storage needs worldwide : more than 250 dual purpose casks have been ordered. TN24 casks are already in operation in Europe, the USA, and Asia.
