Brief
A majority of Swedes – 55% of those interviewed – are in favor of keeping or even expanding civilian nuclear power in Sweden, according to a poll published 20 January 2003. Only 34% are in favor of gradually dismantling the power program, though the Swedish Parliament voted in 2002 to dismantle it over a 30-40 year period.
