Yesterday, the French foundation of political science released the results of a telephone poll of 122 members of parliament and 78 senators conducted by TNS-Sofres from March 5 to April 23, 2003. The poll revealed that 77% of parliament supports the continued use of nuclear power and renewal of the existing fleet, versus 15% who favor phasing out that source of energy.
Renewal of the nuclear reactor fleet received support from 86% of the right and 64% of the left.
