Sébastien de MONTESSUS has been appointed Executive Vice President of the Mining Business Unit.

Claude JAOUEN has been appointed Deputy Senior Vice President, Plant Business Unit. As AREVA Executive Vice President, he is also in charge of studying and implementing organizational changes to optimize the group's engineering activities.

Christian PETIT has been appointed Executive Vice President of the Engineering Business Unit and Chairman & CEO of SGN, replacing Claude Jaouen.

Patrick HERBIN-LE DUC has been appointed deputy CFO of AREVA, CFO of AREVA NC.

Sébastien de MONTESSUS is a graduate of the Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Paris (ESCP). His career began as an investment banker in London, where he worked on mergers and takeovers at Morgan Stanley. He then founded and sold a telecommunications company before joining AREVA's Strategy Department in 2002. Since September 2004, Sébastien de Montessus has been a member of the AREVA T&D management committee, in charge of strategy and marketing.

Claude JAOUEN, an alumnus of the Ecole Centrale de Paris and a doctor in engineering, joined SGN (AREVA's engineering) in 1980., In 1992, he was appointed head of design and development at the SGN plant in Cherbourg, before being made regional director in 1995. In 1997, he moved to the AREVA plant at La Hague, as Technical Director, then became assistant site director, in 2000. In 2002, he was appointed Vice President, Information Systems for the AREVA group. In 2003, he became Executive Vice President of AREVA NP, in charge of the Fuel Sector. Since 2006, he has been Executive Vice President responsible for studying and implementing organizational changes to optimize the group's engineering activities, Executive Vice President of the Engineering Business Unit as well as Chairman & CEO of SGN.

Christian PETIT is a graduate of the Ecole Supérieure de Commerce in Marseille and the IAE in Grenoble. Between 1981 and 1987, he held various finance positions in the Engineering business prior to joining SGN in 1987. He was then appointed SGN Chief Financial Officer in 1989. In 1995, Christian Petit was appointed CEO of Eurisys Measure and in 2000 General Manager of Nuclear Measurements Business Unit in the US. Since 2004, he has been Deputy CFO of AREVA.

Patrick HERBIN-LE DUC has been appointed CFO of AREVA NC and deputy CFO of AREVA. After graduating from the Ecole Supérieure des Travaux Publics and obtaining an MBA from ESSEC, he started his career in 1983 at Saint-Gobain where he helped to develop the group's information systems before moving to the internal audit department in 1988. In 1991 he became deputy director in charge of reporting and consolidation operations. Between 1997 and 2004 he was CFO of a number of subsidiaries and branches of Saint-Gobain's Ceramics and Plastics Division. He joined AREVA in 2004 to head the finance department of the Treatment Business Unit and coordinate finance matters in the Back End division.
