UP2 plant :
The UP2 plant is on shutdown period for maintenance. A total of 3 canisters have been produced at the R7 vitrification facility.

UP3 plant :
At the UP3 plant, shearing of fuel assemblies from a batch of 1300 MWe EDF fuel is finish in the T1 head-end facility. A change of a batch is in progress to prepare the formation of japanese trainees. A total of 194 metric tons of uranium have been processed to date this year. A total of 24 canisters have been produced at the T7 vitrification facility.

On March the 7th, a transport containing 5 casks arising from german nuclear power plants PHILLIPPSBURG and MÜLKHEIM-KARLICH, arrived at the Valognes railway terminal. All these spent fuel assemblies will be stored in the La Hague's cooling storage ponds.
They will be then reprocessed in order to separate the reusable matters and to encapsulate the ultimate residues which will be returned back to Germany for storage.
