UP2 plant :
The UP2 plant is on shutdown period for maintenance. At the R7 vitrification facility, lines A, B and C are on standby.
UP3 plant :
At the UP3 plant, shearing of fuel assemblies from a batch of 1300 MWe EDF fuel is in progress in the T1 head-end facility. A total of 103 metric tons of uranium have been processed to date this year. At the T7 vitrification facility, line A is in service. Lines A and B are on standby.
Transports :
On February the 7th at 12h10 pm (local time), a transport containing 4 casks arising from german nuclear power plants, arrived at the Valognes railway terminal. All these spent fuel assemblies will be stored in the La Hague's cooling storage ponds.
They will be then reprocessed in order to separate the reusable matters and to encapsulate the ultimate residues which will be returned back to Germany for storage. For further informations, you could consult the heading files infos.
