UP2 plant :
At the UP2 plant, R1 head-end facility is on shutdown period for maintenance.
A total of 332 metric tons of uranium have been processed to date this year.

At the R7 vitrification facility, lines A and C are in service, line B is on standby.
A total of 253 canisters of glass have been produced to date this year.

UP3 plant :
At the UP3 plant, T1 head-end facility is on a shutdown period for maintenance.
A total of 51 metric tons of uranium have been processed to date this year.

At the T7 vitrification facility, lines A, B and C are on standby.
A total of 146 canisters of glass have been produced to date this year.

Transport :
On August the 2nd, nine transport casks of spent fuel coming from the german power plants of Mülheim-Karlich, Brunsbüttel, Stade and Philippsburg arrived at the COGEMA's rail terminal of Valognes.

All of these fuel elements will be placed in the pools at the COGEMA-La Hague plant for cooling. They will then be reprocessed to separate out the recyclable materials. The wastes will be conditioned and sent back to Germany for permanent storage.
