UP2 plant :
At the UP2 plant, shearing of fuel assemblies from a batch of 900 MWe EDF fuel is in progress in the R1 head-end facility.
A total of 265 metric tons of uranium have been processed to date this year.

At the R7 vitrification facility, line B is in service, lines A and C are on standby.
A total of 179 canisters of glass have been produced to date this year.

UP3 plant :
At the UP3 plant, T1 head-end facility is on a shutdown period for maintenance.
A total of 51 metric tons of uranium have been processed to date this year.

At the T7 vitrification facility, line B is in service, lines A and C are on standby.
A total of 130 canisters of glass have been produced to date this year.

Transport :
On June 12, four spent fuel transport casks coming from the german nuclear power plants of Biblis and Philippsburg arrived at the COGEMA's rail terminal in Valognes.

On June 14 in the morning, a dutch spent fuel transport cask coming from the nuclear power plant of Borssele(1) arrived at the same rail terminal.

All these spent fuel assemblies will be stored in the pools of the La Hague plant for cooling. Then, they will be reprocessed to separate the reusable materials and to condition the final residues who will be sent back in Germany and in the Netherlands for final disposal.
