Treatment activity :
During this period, the Establishment treated(1) 15.57 tons of fuel assemblies from a batch of EDF. From all treated assemblies, a total of 375.37 tons have been processed to date this year. Two of the six lines of vitrification of fission products were in service.
Since the beginning of the year, 191 canisters have been produced.
(1)the Treatment consists in separating, within spent fuel, on the one hand, the reusable materials - uranium and plutonium - in order to recycle them and, on the other hand, the ultimate residues - fission products and other waste - in order to condition them in a sure way.
