At the UP2 plant, shearing of fuel elements from a batch of EDF 1300 MWe fuel continued in the R1 head-end facility. A total of 745 metric tons of uranium have been sheared to date this year.

At the R7 vitrification facility, lines A and C are in operation; line B is on stand-by. 7 canisters of glass were produced this week. A total of 192 canisters of glass have been produced to date this year.

At the UP3 plant, shearing of fuel elements from OHI-MIHAMA* began in the T1 head-end facility. A total of 610 metric tons of uranium have been sheared to date this year.

At the T7 vitrification facility, lines A and C are in operation; line B is on stand-by. 14 canisters of glass were produced this week. A total of 317 canisters of glass have been produced to date this year.


Work in the Moulinets Cove

Work continues on modifications to the discharge pipe in the tidal basin:

  • radiological monitoring of sediments has revealed no anomalies, although there are fluctuations close to the old discharge pipe;
  • underwater excavation of the first section was completed;
  • following work stoppage due to unfavorable meteorological conditions, the platform was moved and excavation of the second section began.
