At the UP2 plant, shearing of fuel assemblies from a batch of 900 MWe EDF fuel continued in the R1 head-end facility. A total of 215 metric tons of uranium have been processed to date this year.

At the R7 vitrification facility, lines A and B are in service. Line C is on stand-by. A total of 112 canisters of glass have been produced to date this year.

At the UP3 plant, shearing of fuel elements from WURGASSEN* is in progress in the T1 head-end facility. A total of 100 metric tons of uranium have been processed to date this year.

At the T7 vitrification facility, line A is on stand-by, lines B and C are in service. A total of 77 canisters of glass have been produced to date this year.


Work in the Moulinets Cove

Work continues on modifications to the discharge pipe in the tidal basin:

  • the final, lower profile of the sea discharge pipe was achieved on March 17 and pipe covering work is finished;
  • works equipment clearance are under way;
  • the work platform will be removed as soon as meteorological conditions permit.
