Markus BIRKHOFER is appointed Senior Executive Vice President, Research, Development & Innovation. He reports directly to Philippe KNOCHE, Chief Operating Officer. Massimo MORICHI is confirmed Deputy Senior Vice President, Research, Development & Innovation. He reports directly to Markus BIRKHOFER.
This appointment is effective as of October 1, 2014.

Jean-Luc ANDRIEUX is appointed Senior Executive Advisor to Philippe KNOCHE, Chief Operating Officer, in charge of the activity evolution and the industrial facilities of the subsidiary CERCA.
This appointment is effective as of October 1, 2014.

Jacques BOUVIER is appointed Industrial Relations Vice President. He reports to Véronique ROUZAUD, Senior Executive Vice President, Human Resources.
This appointment will be effective as of November 1, 2014.

Claudia ADLER is appointed Human Resources Vice President, Engineering and Projects. She reports to Eric CHASSARD, Senior Executive Vice President, Engineering and Projects, and functionally to Véronique ROUZAUD, Senior Executive Vice President, Human Resources.
This appointment will be effective as of November 1, 2014.

Jean-Jacques DREHER, on top of his role as Senior Vice President for Investment Projects, Back End Business Group, is taking over the responsibility of Safety, Security and Operational Support of Back End Business Group.
This appointment is effective as of October 1, 2014.

Thierry SCHIETECATTE is appointed Executive Vice President, Quality and Operational Performance, Reactors and Services Business Group. He reports directly to Philippe SAMAMA, Senior Executive Vice President of the Reactors and Services Business Group.

Biographical information
Markus Birkhofer started his career at Siemens in Germany, where he managed a number of projects ranging from restructuring to strategy in the group's core businesses, automation, medical systems and telecommunications. He moved to New York from 2001 to 2004 to support the launch of its consulting activity in the United States. In 2007, he headed the restructuring project resulting from the merger of Siemens Networks and Nokia. During the same year, he joined AREVA as Senior Vice President of AREVA NP Strategy. In October 2009, Markus Birkhofer was appointed Senior Vice President of the Fuel Business Unit’s Zirconium Division and Managing Director of CEZUS. Since December 2011, Markus Birkhofer has been Executive Vice President, Fuel Business Unit within the Front End Business Group.
Jean-Luc Andrieux joined AREVA as the head of Tests in the company USSI in charge of building and starting up Eurodif George Besse plant. In 1980, he joined Eurodif Production where he held a number of operations jobs before becoming head of the Quality-Safety-Security-Environment Department in 1991, then head of Maintenance in 1994. In 1997, he became plant manager and managing director of Eurodif Production. In 2000, he was appointed Director of the Enrichment Business Unit, then went on to become site manager at La Hague in November 2001. In November 2005 he was appointed Director of the Logistics BU. Then in January 2009, Jean-Luc Andrieux is appointed Senior Vice President Safety, Health and Security for the group. Since August 2013, he has been General Manager of SOMAIR within the Mining BG.
Jacques Bouvier started his career in 1987 at Garon as recruitment & training manager and joined the Framatome group two years later in 1989. He holds several positions as human resources manager in the Nuclear Services in Lyon, in the IST department in Paris, as Human Resources Vice President of FBFC in Romans and as Human Resources Vice President of the Fuel in Lyon. In 2006, he was appointed Human Resources Vice President for the Back-End Business Group. Since March 2011, Jacques Bouvier has been E&P’s Vice President, Human Resources.
Claudia Adler has spent a large part of her career in Brazil, occupying various human resource management positions across several business sectors: civil engineering, high technology, consumer products. She was Director of Human Resources for the L’OREAL subsidiary in Brazil. She joined the AREVA group in 2008 as Manager of Human Resources in the Information Systems Department. In September 2009 she became Head of Human Resources for the International Marketing and Sales Department, a position she held until June 2012, when she was appointed Director of Human Resources for the Fuel Business Unit. Since January 2014 Claudia ADLER is Vice President, Human Resources, Renewable Energies Business Group.
Jean-Jacques Dreher, after starting his career in 1982, held several positions within the PSA group. He was Production Manager in 1995 and then promoted Head of Engineering and Methods at the Trémery site. In 2000, he was appointed Director of Central Tooling for Components and Castings. In 2005 he took on the role of managing relations with the union or-ganizations at Group level, then was appointed Director of the group’s Metz gearbox plant in 2008. He joined the AREVA group in 2009 as Director of AREVA La Hague plant. He joined the Back End Business Group in November 2013 and is appointed Director of Investment Projects.
Thierry Schietecatte started his career in 1996 as R&D engineer, then project manager at Delphi. He entered the Vallourec group in 2002 where he was first operational financial controller and then holds several positions of plant manager. He joined AREVA IN 2009 as Director of nuclear services for JSPM and CEO of SOMANU (AREVA subsidiaries in charge of manufacturing components for nuclear plants). In 2011, he is appointed CEO of JSPM and Vice Chairman of AREVA Dongfang (ADJV). In 2013, he joined the Installed Base division as Senior Vice President of AREVA NDE-Solutions, including Intercontrôle, INDT and IBN-A.
