News brief

AREVA Foundation believes it is important to give young people a taste for reading, writing and arithmetic and for expressing themselves so that they can shape their own future. And that is why it fully supports the fight against illiteracy.

Continuing a partnership initiated in 2010 through a program in the Rhône-Alps region of France, which reaches 250 first graders, the Foundation has decided to continue supporting Apfée, an association that promotes equal opportunity in schools. By offering recreational workshops for children, it promotes an appreciation for reading and writing, a solid basis for learning, and platform to involve the parents.

For the 2011/2012 school year, AREVA Foundation is providing support to 85 primary school children in Paris’ 18th arrondissement.
