A principle partner of the French Athletics Federation (FFA, Fédération Française d’Athlétisme) since 2009, AREVA is reaffirming its desire to contribute to the development of track and field by renewing its support for the FFA.

Energy, the striving to surpass oneself individually and collectively, excellence – all these values are expressed in track and field, and AREVA seeks to identify them with its own corporate values.

By remaining the principal partner of the FFA, AREVA is also committing to the athletes of the French Team and will provide support for all national championships. The group will also be active during MEETING AREVA at the Stade de France, now a flagship event of French and international track and field.

AREVA’s commitment to track and field is shared by the group’s employees, who have turned out in large numbers in recent years as part of the internal process generated by the partnership: in 2012, they ran or walked close to 400,000 kilometers throughout the world in support of a humanitarian cause.

Charles Hufnagel, Senior Executive Vice President of AREVA Communications, said: “After four years of meetings, high points, victories and sharing, we want to continue together to write a story full of meaning for our group, for our employees and for track and field. This sport is an obvious choice for us in view of the values we have in common. Our goal continues to be to contribute to the influence of track and field in all its dimensions, from elite performances to public practice of this sport.”

For Bernard Amsalem, President of the French Athletics Federation, “The FFA is pleased to have renewed its partnership with AREVA. This support will contribute to the development and visibility of our sport, such as during MEETING AREVA, a valuable opportunity for the public to see the greatest champions in our own country. I thank the AREVA group warmly for its renewed support.”
